I’m only 13 years old and I just spent a little over two hours attempting to drop the browns off at the superbowl. I’ve been eating the same as usual, but to be honest I probably don’t get enough fiber… and this is the first time I’ve ever had trouble ‘going’. I usually went once or twice a day. So this is what happened, and please take this seriously. I felt like I needed to go so I went into the bathroom. I know you aren’t ever supposed to strain yourself because that can cause hemroids. So I just sat there and relaxed. Nothing happened, except some stomach cramps and flatuence. So I waited a little longer until I finally started pushing, and some stool came out. It was a very uncomfortable experience, and it felt much harder than normal. I took two laxatives after that and layed down. The urge to go has died down a bit, but I’m nervous there could be something else wrong with me. Digestive issues run in the family. Any tips on how to go normally again?
Drink more water.

03|Nov|2009 2Water! this is a common problem with people now days and it has been cleared up in a day and then avoided by drinking 16 ounces of water 3 times a day. If you decide to start taking a fiber supplement make sure you drink plenty of water if you don’t you’ll end up more constipated. Metamucil is an excellent source of fiber but I would definitely try the water thing first!

Apples have a huge amount of fiber in them and taste waaay better than most fiber.
Once you’re unstopped, try to work one in every day and drink plenty of water. You’ll be surprised how well such a simple thing will work!
