So, TH ATS what it was!
Well, I think so..
I dreamed I woke up in my bed, and I saw the top of this orange thing, and I was TERRIFIED of it, but I wanted to see what the HELL it was, but I couldn’t!! I was paralyzed!
I sleep on the top of a bunk bed, so if I had looked at the thing, I probably would’ve fallen off!
When I woke up in the morning, I wasn’t sure if it was a dream or not..

Uhh, I think thats what a waking dream is?

Yes, it is when you wake and your mind is trying to separate the dream from what is real, and the reality can often be a welcome relief.

I work in a sleep lab, where we've witnessed this phenomenon several times. In one case one of the participants woke up and started smiling because there were pink flying oriental dragons zooming around my head apparently, before he fell asleep again. He managed to remember this event just barely, but in many cases it is either completely forgotten or remembered although the details are completely forgotten. Daylight hallucinations are probably more impressive still, given their greater level of realism. One of our somewhat famous insomniacs used to often hallucinate things like the whole world turning sepia while another time he was eating rice with chopsticks and the world suddenly turned 2 dimensional.

ive never had waking dreams. Ive had lucid dreams, when you realize your dreaming while still in in the dream.

One time i woke up and sat up on my bed my TV was on static, my TV remote was by my feet so i grabbed it and turned the tv off then i threw my remote to my chair on the other side of the room a couple seconds passed then my tv turned back on to static. Thats when i realized and said to myself "this is a dream, im dreaming". Then i fell through my bed and and landed in my bed and woke up for real.

that was a short lucid dream i had, ive had longer ones but i think that one is a cool story.

i had never even heard of waking dreams though

Anyone ever have waking dreams?
I’ve had a few waking dreams, not that often – maybe three times a year.

I used to get frightened, now i’m used to them. In a strange way I kind of enjoy them now.

For anyone who doesn’t know what they are, here’s a description: A waking dream is where you ‘wake up’ from a bad dream, though in a way the objects (or characters/people) from that dream come into reality – so in effect you are hallucinating. Your body often feels paralyzed, and there’s often a crushing feeling on your chest. Most of the time you’ll see strange and haunting images, shadows, distorted figures etc. The reason why your body is paralyzed is actually a defense mechanism – it’s your brain stopping you from ‘acting’ out the dream in real life, so that you don’t harm yourself.

All good fun. I know it’s a common phenomena – just like to see if anyone else experiences these

You call your doctor and ask if he/she can give you a prescription or ask if there is an OTC remedy that is safe to use. You won't 'cure' them however, you will just relieve them.

If it is infact a hemorroid then use Tucks medicated pads. It will sooth the burning and itching that comes along with these wonderful pregnancy symptoms. You can put some Epson Salt in luke warm tub and soak. If it hurt to sit you can purchase a doughnut pillow to relieve the pressure.

There really isnt much you can do, you can try sitz baths, which is sit in really hot bath water twice a day for 20 minutes. Try not to strain on bowel moments, and you can use the hemorrhoid creams, but talk to your doctor abuot it. My mom had them so bad (where she couldnt walk) she had to be taken out of work and put on bed rest.
