Hemroid Surgery – Ouch!

There are a number of Hemroid Surgery options available to you, none of them painless or without the possibility for long-term complications. Let’s take a look at them individually starting with:

Hemroid Rubber Band Ligation

The physiology behind this form of hemroid surgery is akin to strangulation, a hemroid tourniquet, if you will. A rubber band is placed around the hemroid, cutting off its blood supply and causing it to die and fall off in about a week.

Hemorrhoidectomy

Essentially, your hemroid is excised or cut off. One of the main side-effects of this type of surgery is scarring. This procedure is associated with significant post-surgical pain, the kind that makes you wish you had just put up with your hemroids in the first place.
